$50,000-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, RI — While no one hit the Powerball jackpot Monday night, one Rhode Islander still had some luck on their side.

Rhode Island Lottery officials said someone bought a $50,000-winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 726 Aquidneck Ave. in Middletown. The winning ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball number.

Had the player purchased the Power Play feature, the prize would have been multiplied by three to $150,000.

Wednesday’s estimated Powerball jackpot is $132 million, lottery officials said.
