Bristol Man Struck by Car in Middletown Dies
The 37-year-old man was walking on West Main Road Friday night when he was struck.
MIDDLETOWN, RI—A man who was struck by a car as he walked along West Main Road Friday night has died.
Middletown police said Saturday that the man, 37, of Bristol, was pronounced dead at Newport Hospital.
The driver has not been charged and the accident is under investigation, police said.

The victim's name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
The incident occurred at around 9:40 p.m. on Friday night near Prescott Farm, police said.

The road was temporarily closed after the accident for the police reconstruction unit to investigate.
