Build Your "Resiliency" - Earn Your FCC "Ham" Radio License

Rhode Island's next "ham" radio licensing class is now forming & will run weekly online beginning the week of April 20th

Newport County Radio Club will be offering online (Zoom) FCC Amateur Radio Technician/General/Extra classes starting the week of April 18th.

Hundreds of Rhode Island folks have taken the class and passed the exam earning their FCC Technician License over the past few years, giving them a resilient form of communication during cyber-unsettled times. For those who already have an FCC amateur radio license, General and Extra upgrade classes begin at 6:30 PM on Friday, April 22.

All classes are free. There will be a total of six classes with 15 hours of live instruction time. There will be a formal exam session the following week in Middletown (but you can take the exam at hundreds of sites around the U.S.). Pre-registration is required. Click a link below to register
