Newport Run & Chug Holiday Party

The annual Newport Run & Chug party is being held this year to raise money for Foster Forward, with a $10 suggested donation.  The event takes place at Speakeasy bar, located at 250 Thames Street on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Between 6:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.   See the event on Patch here. 

 

Newport Businesses Extend Hours on Thursdays

More than 75 merchants throughout Newport will keep their businesses open until at least 8 p.m. on Thursday throughout the month. After you shop until you drop, Easton’s Point Pub, located at 116 Aquidneck Ave., is offering buy-one-get-one-free dinners on Thursday nights during the holiday season.

Book Signing

Join Newport Art Museum Curator Nancy Whipple Grinnell for a free book signing in celebration of her new biography of the Museum's co-founder, Carrying the Torch: Maud Howe Elliott and the American Renaissance.  Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. at the Newport Art Museum, located at 76 Bellevue Ave.
