Free School Supplies & COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
East Bay Community Action Program is Newport County host site for statewide Back to School Celebration RI event August 27

Newport, RI -East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) will serve as a host site for the statewide Back to School Celebration on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10 am to noon at East Bay Family Health Care, 6 John H. Chafee Boulevard, Newport. Free backpacks and school supplies will be given to families for their school aged children. Families may pick up their supplies either at the drive up table or by walking up to the table. There is no registration and children do not have to be present.
Also being offered by the EBCAP Health Center on the same day and time as the Back to School Celebration is a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for children ages 6 months to 11 years of age. Vaccines and boosters will be available for children in the eligible age group. Children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parents are asked to bring the child’s COVID-19 vaccine card if they have it. If the child is insured, parents should have their health insurance card. No appointment is needed.
