Frosty Freez Race Set For Sunday: Updated Times
Some roads are being closed for the event, police said.
MIDDLETOWN, RI—The Frosty Freez 5K road race kicks off on Sunday, Sept. 24. Police said the headquarters for the event will be the Second Beach Parking Lot, 474 Sachuest Point Road, where the race will begin and end.
There will be two events going on at the same time: 1/3 mile fun run/walk for children 12 and under; and the 5K-road race.
The Fun Run starts at 8:30 in the parking lot at Second Beach. It should take about 10 minutes.

The 5K Road Race starts at 8:45. Runners will take off from the Second Beach Main Gate and head East towards Sachuest Point on Sachuest Point Road.

The runners will turn around in the parking lot of the Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge and head west to the intersection of Sachuest Point Road/Third Beach Access Road. Runners will then turn right onto the Third Beach Access Road and head north. The runners will then turn left onto Hanging Rock Road and then left onto Sachuest Point Road ending at the Second Beach Parking Lot.
