Man Allegedly Shoplifts, Assaults Store Manager

The following arrest was reported by the Middletown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Edward Garofalo, 44, was arrested on Wednesday around 2:15 p.m. after Walgreens employees alleged he shoplifted then assaulted the manager.

The store manager said he watched Garofalo place a $29.99 cell phone into his bag.  When confronted, Garofalo allegedly grabbed the manager's shirt and pushed him backwards.
