Jan. 14
Kevin D. Anderson, 35, of Portsmouth, was stopped at West Main and Coddington roads at 10:47 p.m. He was charged with Driving under the influence, first offense; and Refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Jan. 13
Tara Potts, 38, of Newport, was arrested at Island Cinemas at 6:44 p.m. and charged with felony assault on a person over 60 causing bodily injury. Police allege Potts injured a 63-year-old South Kingstown woman on the way out of the theater after an audience member complained Potts was using her cell phone through the movie. The victim had not been in the argument but was standing behind man quarreling with Potts.

Jan. 12
Janelle E. Martin, 65, of Middletown, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. at Bay Willows Inn on Aquidneck Avenue. She was charged with felony narcotics possession (Schedules I,II, III, IV and V). Police allege she was in possession of a small amount of crack cocaine.
Jan. 11
Kristin L. Walker, 35, of Middletown, was arrested walking on West Main Road at 10:28 a.m. She was taken into custody on a bench warrant.
Michael Benson, 37, of Middletown, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. after witnesses told police a man was walking in traffic on West Main Road near the International House of Pancakes. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct; and Obstructing an officer.
Bridget E. Boiani, 34, of Newport, was stopped at 11:56 p.m. on West Main Road near the parking lot at Prescott Farm. She was charged with Driving under the influence, first offense; and cited for Refusal to submit to a chemical test and Driving after her license was denied, revoked or suspended for certain violations.
Jan. 10
Teddy C. Maghuyop, 34, of Middletown, was arrested at his home at 6:17 p.m. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct. Police allege he had donned a Superman cape and was jumping in front of cars going past his house. One of the drivers complained Maghuyop was threatening to kill anyone driving too fast through the neighborhood.
