Middletown Weekend Guide: Family Day and Democratic Town Committee Fundraiser

  1. The Middletown Substance Abuse Task Force (MSAPTF) is sponsoring its third annual Middletown Family Day event on Sunday from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Aquidneck Grange, 499 East Main Road, Middletown.
  2. Middletown Democratic Town Committee Fundraiser is on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Kempenaar's Clambake Club.  No fixed charge, donations accepted. 
  3. Check your cupboard; a Salmonella outbreak led to more than 100 nut butter spreads recalled.  See the complete list here.
  4. Both lanes of the Sakonnett River Bridge are open, starting today.
  5. According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected all weekend.
