MPD: Felony Domestic Protective Order Violation, DUI

Koraima Espinet, 19, of 104 Rogers Lane was arrested on Monday, Jan. 28 around 11:30 p.m. on a third violation of a domestic protective order, a felony.    Police watched two women leave Newport Mart and sit in the car for around seven minutes.  When they left, police noticed the car swerve across the road and conducted a traffic stop.  The officer recognized Espinet and confirmed she had a domestic protective order with the female in the car.  It was a third violation of a protective order, which is a felony.

Jaeke Donahue, 26, of 35 East Bowery St., Newport, was arrested on Tuesday around 1:44 a.m. on a first offense driving under the influence charge.  Police conducted a traffic stop after they observed him driving erratically.  He allegedly said he had "probably too much" to drink that evening.  During the field sobriety tests, police said he was making jokes. Donahue was also cited with refusal to submit to a chemical test and a laned roadway violation.
