Newport County YMCA Memorial 3v3 Basketball Tournament

The Newport County YMCA is holding the second annual Neal LaChance Memorial 3v3 Basketball Tournament and inaugural aerobics class. The tournament and class is in honor of Neal, who was a native of Newport and a long-time member of the Y. He tragically passed away in 2013 from an automobile accident.

Neal loved playing basketball and was a friend to many both on and off the court. The LaChance family and the Y started the basketball tournament last year to honor Neal and his life. This year, the family wanted to expand and add a fitness class. All of the proceeds from the tournament and class will go to scholarships to help youth play in our winter basketball league.

3 Divisions – 8 teams per division Register By March 17th

6th – 8th Grade Division $10 per player TIP OFF: 11:30AM
9th – 12th Grade Division $10 per player TIP OFF: 2:30PM
18 Plus Division $10 per player TIP OFF: 5:30PM
Game Day Check-in: 1/2 hour before your division’s tip off
Aerobics Class (taught by Tish) $10 per person START: 11:30AM
