• After slow start, Aquidneck Island Wrestling pulls out win over Chariho (newportri.com) — Middletown wrestlers, competing as part of the Aquidneck Island Wrestling co-op with Portsmouth and Newport, helped engineer a huge comeback win over Chariho on Wednesday. After falling behind 24-0, AIW stormed back with a string of pins, capped by Alex Beaufort’s decisive fall at 215 pounds that clinched a 45-36 victory and sent the bench into celebration.
   

• Undersea Technology Innovation Consortium and Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Enter Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (seapowermagazine.org) — A new research agreement between Middletown-based UTIC and NUWC Division Newport aims to speed up development of cutting-edge undersea technology with strong ties to the local defense community. The partnership will bring recurring tech talks, showcases, and industry engagement events that connect Middletown-area innovators, academics, and Navy experts, reinforcing the region’s role in undersea warfare research and development.
