U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman to Meet with Local Students
Newport midshipman "Mac" Cullen available to talk about service academies and ROTC college options

U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman 3rd Class Michael “Mac” Cullen of Newport has been selected to be part of the Academy’s “Operation Information” student outreach program, known as OPINFO. MIDN Cullen will be conducting an Open Forum at the Middletown Library on Monday, 21 November, from noon to 1 pm and at the Newport Library that same day from 2 pm to 3 pm.
Parents and students with questions about the application process and the benefits of attending a U.S. Service Academy or an ROTC program; or who have questions about life as a service academy student are welcome to stop by for an informal chat. Cullen will also be visiting with Newport and Providence high school students, Sea Cadets, and Troop 3 Newport Scouts.
OPINFO’s mission is to create public awareness of the benefits and opportunities service academies provide. For those interested in a free, world-class education, building lifelong leadership skills, being physically fit, and taking part in character-building challenges, not to mention a guaranteed job, come learn more and see if a military education is potentially a good fit for you or your son/daughter.
