1 Hospitalized After Crash On Route 1 In South Kingstown
South Kingstown police say speed and impairment did not appear to be contributing factors in Saturday's single-car crash on Route 1.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — One person was injured and had to be taken to the hospital Saturday after a single-car crash in South Kingstown, according to police.
Police said the crash into a highway barrier happened around 7 p.m. on Route 1 northbound near Moonstone Beach Road. Emergency personnel brought the driver to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver was the only person in the car.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but police said speed and impairment did not appear to be contributing factors.
