$1 Million Lottery Ticket Sold In EG to Wakefield Man
Wednesday night's PowerBall drawing matched a ticket purchased at Lux Oil on South County Trail, and the winner is a Wakefield man.

For the second time this year, a Wakefield resident has won a huge amount from a PowerBall drawing.
According to Rhode Island lottery officials, a Wakefield man turned in his winning $1 million ticket today. The man has a wife and two children, and he said the money would be used for his kids’ college education.
He bought the ticket at Lux Oil in East Greenwich last Wednesday. The PowerBall drawing on Wednesday night pulled two winning Rhode Island-purchased numbers, including the one from the East Greenwich store.

The $1 million ticket matched five numbers but not the PowerBall number, for the standard payout of $1 million, the Rhode Island Lottery announced on Thursday. If the Power Play feature was added for an extra dollar, the prize would have doubled.
