4th Annual SUPERKids Triathlon at URI Sunday

The fourth annual SUPERKids Triathlon will be held Sunday at the University of Rhode Island Mackal Fieldhouse from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

According to the event’s organizers, volunteers are still needed to help more than 200 kids complete this great event. You can call Kathy Robbins at 741-0831, or e-mail her at info@trimomprod.com. The event counts for community service hours for local high schools.

The event consists of a pool swim, a closed course bike race and an on-trail run course. There are six age groups from 4 to 15, with an emphasis on fun and participation instead of an intense competition.

For participants, registration is $35, and closes on Friday. Additional registrations will be accepted on Sunday if the field of triathletes isn’t full.
