5 THINGS: Nerds Rejoice, Arts Exhibits and Sales

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Saturday, June 23, 2012:

A record number of fine exhibitors! According to Deedra Durocher, there are more than 110 exhibitors, plus two food vendors, at the 30^th annual . It runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Veterans Park on Ocean Road in Narragansett.

Buy some new stuff! The residents of 62 Spartina Cove Way are holding today to raise funds for a wedding – aw! It runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also, like every weekend, there is at the General Stanton Inn in Charlestown from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Farmer’s markets! Want some fresh produce or other items? The is from 8:30 a.m. to noon at East Farm. on Old Post Road in Charlestown runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Let’s walk! (Oh yes, let’s!) There will be a walking group setting forth from Bagelz in Wakefield at 9 a.m. For more info, click .

Unfortunately, no Kate Winslet. Titanic: The Musical is playing at the Courthouse Center for the Arts today, at and Tickets range from $15 to $25, depending on when you go.

With these temperatures, I’m ready for summer to go already. Roomful of Blues will be playing at Sea Breeze in Bonnet Shores as part of a “Welcome to Summer” celebration. Tickets are $30, and proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State. For more info, click .

And I’m sure high school students everywhere rejoiced. On this day in 1926, the College Board administered the first SAT. (I made the mistake a few years ago of sharing my SAT score with a younger person… Only to forget to tell her that back then, there were only two sections, not three. Whoops.)
