Providence is expected to get close to the high of 65 degrees set in 1935.

RHODE ISLAND — The Ocean State is in for another round of springlike weather this weekend, coming close to a nearly century-old record on Sunday.
Expect sunny skies with chilly temperatures Friday, only reaching the mid-30s. Saturday will see a slight warmup, ahead of springlike warmth on Sunday.
Rain will accompany the warmer temperatures. Showers are in the forecast, mainly in the morning. Expect cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 60s.

The current forecast expects temperatures to peak at 61 degrees in Providence, falling a few degrees short of the record of 65 set in 1935.
