Block Island Ferry 'Incident' Leads To Arrest Of CT Man: Cops
The Connecticut man was arrested when the ferryboat arrived at Point Judith, police said.
POINT JUDITH, RI — A Connecticut man was arrested on Point Judith in connection with an "incident" on a ferryboat, police said.
Steven Mauro, 60, of Old Lyme was arrested shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disorderly conduct, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"This arrest was the result of an incident that occurred on the Block Island Ferry and Troopers taking custody of Mr. Mauro upon his arrival in Point Judith," the release said. "Mr. Mauro was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later released with a future Fourth District Court date."
