Rhode Island standby Benny's was a fan favorite. The Wakefield branch of the popular store closed in 2017 as part of the company-wide liquidation process. Another Rhode Island standby, Ocean State Job Lot, later opened in the location.

A slightly more recent closure was Tilly's in Kingston, the Philly cheese steak restaurant in the building formerly occupied by the Railroad Cafe. The restaurant closed its doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.
