Damaging Winds, Heavy Rain On The Way To Rhode Island
Wind gusts up to 60 mph are expected during the overnight hours, along with as much as an inch of rain.

RHODE ISLAND — Strong, damaging wind gusts and heavy rain are in the forecast to end the week in Rhode Island, bringing the possibility of power outages and localized flooding.
Between half an inch and an inch of rain is expected to fall across the state from late Thursday into Friday. The storm is expected to bring higher-than-average temperatures, close to 60 degrees inland.
The worst of the storm is expected to be overnight, from midnight to about 6 a.m. Friday. Gusts are expected to reach up to 60 mph, which could knock down trees limbs, damage unsecured outdoor items and cause power outages. A high wind watch will be in effect statewide from Thursday night into Friday morning.
