Driver In Fatal Crash Was Intoxicated, Narragansett Police Say: Report

The single-car crash happened on Nov. 14, 2024, on Mumford Road and resulted in the deaths of Andres Naranjo, 26, and Samuel White, 24.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Speeding, alcohol, and marijuana were reportedly factors in a crash in Narragansett last year that killed two South Kingstown men.

The single-car crash happened on Nov. 14, 2024, on Mumford Road and resulted in the deaths of Andres Naranjo, 26, and Samuel White, 24.

Police on Wednesday told WPRI 12 Naranjo, the driver, was speeding, had cannabis in his system and had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit, when he crashed his car into a tree, killing him and White, his passenger.
