Girls’ Lacrosse Struggles in Second Half Vs. Lincoln
The Mariners get within a goal of the Lions early in the second half, but eight straight Lincoln goals end Narragansett's season.

LINCOLN – The Narragansett girls’ lacrosse team almost overcome a large deficit, but faltered in the second half in an 18-9 loss to the Lions.
According to Narragansett coach Ken Andronowitz, the Mariners (9-6, 9-5 Division II-South) and the Lions (15-0, 14-0 Division II-North) played “neck and neck through much of the first half,” with Narragansett trailing 10-7 after 25 minutes.
In the second half, Andronowitz said the Mariners scored a pair of goals to pull within one, but unfortunately, the Lions scored the next eight for the 18-9 final.

Andronowitz said that Carroll intends to play lacrosse in college at Division II Florida Southern. He said other seniors indicated they might continue with club lacrosse.
The Mariners finished the year with nine victories, their best mark since 2006, when Narragansett went 14-2 in league play, according to records maintained by the Rhode Island High School Sports website. For seniors Carroll, Skenyon, McNamara, Adelle Tetreault, Rachel Gouveia, Rachel Adronowitz and Jamie Swanberg, this was the only winning lacrosse season in their high school career.
