Kingston Free Library to Host 4-Part WWII Lecture Series
Dr. Stanley Carpenter will present four historical lectures Thursday nights in January.

Beginning Jan. 9 at 7 p.m., the Kingston Free Library, located at 2605 Kingstown Road, will host Dr. Stanley Carpenter, Professor at the Naval War College, to present a four-part lecture series on World War II.
Dr. Carpenter will kick off the lecture series Thursday night with "Blitzkrieg: Battles of Poland and France".
At 7 p.m. on each of the remaining Thursdays in January, he will return to the Library to entertain and educate his audience during the following lectures:
- Thursday, Jan. 16:Â "Air and Sea: Battles of Britain and the Atlantic"Â
- Thursday, Jan. 23:Â "The Eastern Front: Barbarossa to Berlin, 1941-45"Â
- Thursday, Jan. 30Â 2014: "Crushing the Reich: Normandy to Berlin, 1944-45"Â
The Lectures Series is free, but registration is required and can be done by calling (401) 783-8254, emailing mmunroe@skpl.org, or dropping by the Library.Â
