Letter: Rec Advisory Board Chairman Wants Miller Kept
Keith Kyle, a resident and chairman of the Recreation Advisory Board, argues for retaining Grady Miller.

To the editor:
As a resident of the Town for more than 20 years and in my capacity as chairman of the Recreation Advisory Board, I wish to express my displeasure that Grady is being forced to accept a separation agreement or face termination.
During my 25 years as a corporate/business litigation attorney, I have had occasion to deal with CEOs, CFOs and many high-level business owners. Running the Town of Narragansett is similar to running a large corporation.

Grady is a consummate professional and fine representative of Narragansett. Being an outsider, so to speak, he has brought new and refreshing ideas to the table based on his many years of experience and having lived in different parts of the country.
I am sure and hopeful that the town voters will see through the folly of dismissing him, and you will all likewise be dismissed during the next election. Our town representatives should be focused on far more pressing issues facing our town than insuring that a pawn is at their disposal.

So, I would respectfully request that you all think long and hard about any decision to terminate him and I would hope that should you so decide to terminate him, that there will be a clearly articulated basis for doing so that brings respect to the positions that you hold at the pleasure of Town voters.
