Memorial, Scholarship Concert Tonight at Christ The King

A concert will be held 7 p.m. tonight at church in Kingston for the Dianne Rebelo Memorial Scholarship. Tickets are available at the door, and donations will be accepted.

Rebelo passed away in July 2008. She was a choral conductor and music teacher at South Kingstown High School for 27 years. The South Kingstown High School band is scheduled to perform, along with other acts. Sarah Van Pelt, the sister of former American Idol contestant Erika Van Pelt, is one of the organizers. Both were students of Rebelo.
