Narragansett Police Log: April 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26, 2012
Police have several quiet days, before the usual "weekend" uptick starting on Thursday.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Narragansett Man Charged With Stealing Car Parts in North Kingstown
According to , Michael J. Barney, 25, of 21 Sassafras Trail in Narragansett, was arrested on April 24 at 3 p.m. and charged with larceny.

In October 2011, Barney allegedly stole a catalytic converter from a Subaru Forester at Kingstown Auto Recycling. Six months after the investigation began, police discovered that Barney had sold the converter to Metal Commodities for $120 two days after the part was stolen.
Police asked Barney to come into headquarters, where he allegedly admitted to stealing the item. He was arrested, arraigned and released with a court summons.

Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant
John E. Ucci, 37, of 104 Iroquois Road, Narragansett, was arrested at about 1:52 a.m. on April 25. Police said there was a Fourth Division District Court warrant out for Ucci’s arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing for a cost review.
According to police, an officer patrolling traffic on Lakeside Drive near Bridgetown Road clocked a Toyota Camry at 40 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made on Boston Neck Road near CVS Pharmacy.
Police said a background check of the driver and the passenger in her car – Ucci – revealed the warrant. He was arrested without incident. The driver of the car was given a warning for speeding and allowed to drive from the scene.
Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant
Peter O. Lindley, 20, of 29 Tupelo Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 9:53 a.m. on April 26. Police said a Fourth Division District Court warrant was out for his Lindley’s arrest for failing to appear at a court hearing related to a South Kingstown police arrest for possession of marijuana.
According to police, an officer saw Lindley sitting at a RIPTA bus stop on Point Judith Road. The officer knew Lindley from past arrests, and knew a warrant was out for his arrest.
Police said Lindley was arrested without incident. He was transported to court at 10:30 a.m. for arraignment.
Two URI Students Cited for Alcohol Violations
- Danielle H. Lambert, 20, of 43 Treasure Road, Narragansett, was cited at about 10:15 p.m. and charged with ID card misuse. Police said Lambert is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer checking IDs at the Bon Vue Inn noticed that Lambert did not match the appearance of the photo on her ID. When questioned, Lambert allegedly admitted that the ID belonged to an older sister.
Police confiscated the ID, and Lambert was cited for misuse.
- Christina Seth, 20, of 3 Hemlock Ave., Narragansett, was cited at about 9:44 p.m. and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Seth is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road saw a Mercedes four-door sedan driving without its headlights on. A traffic stop was made near Fisherman’s Memorial Campground.
Police said that during the stop, a 12-pack of Bud Light bottles were visible in the backseat of the car. A bottle of Southern Comfort was also surrendered to police.
The driver – Seth – was cited for transportation of alcohol by a minor. The alcohol was confiscated by police and destroyed.
URI Student Cited for Suspended License
Djamira P. Leal, 21, of 89 North River Drive, Narragansett, was cited at about 1:42 a.m. on April 26 and charged with driving with a suspended license. Police said Leal is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer saw a gold Nissan Maxima being driven by Leal on Bridgetown Road with a defective rear plate light. A traffic stop was made on Boston Neck Road near CVS.
Police said a background check of Leal revealed that her license was suspended. She was cited for the offense.
