According to police, they received a call from a person at a gas station on Point Judith Road that a man, later identified as Kenyon, was screaming at a 32-year-old Narragansett woman. Police said based on an interview with the victim, she and Kenyon were having a verbal argument about where Kenyon’s plane tickets were for a trip to Florida.
The woman told police that Kenyon was rummaging through all of the things in her car to find the tickets, and after he couldn’t find them, he elbowed her in the face, pinned her head against driver’s side window, and spit in her hair.

At this point, the woman said she left her car and Kenyon followed, and grabbed her by the wrist. She said he finally left her alone when another man intervened.
According to police, when asked about the incident, Kenyon said that he and the woman had only had a verbal argument. However, two witnesses both said that they saw Kenyon grab the woman while she was attempting to leave the scene.
Based on the statements from the witnesses and the victim, Kenyon was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct and domestic assault. Police transported Kenyon to headquarters.
Police said that during booking, Kenyon became belligerent when he was asked to remove his shoes and jacket. He told police that they hadn’t told him why he was being arrested.
When police then informed him of the charges against him again, police said he began to argue with them about the charges. Police said that he demanded the booking officer’s name, which the officer told him, and then said he was going to sue for discrimination.
Kenyon was arraigned by a justice of the peace later that night and released.
