According to police, the woman’s head, arms, hands and clothes had fresh blood on them. Police noted that it appeared like a piece of wood was lodged in the woman’s scalp, and that the woman appeared to be highly intoxicated on alcohol. A doctor at South County Hospital later identified the object as a metal clip from the woman’s hair extensions.
Police interviewed Carlone, the only other occupant of the house and a family member of the victim. He told them that the woman came into his room while he was sleeping, woke him up, and then wouldn’t leave him alone. He said he then shoved her off the bed. He was placed under arrest at this point.
It was not clear from police reports who called to report the incident. Police noted that there was a significant amount of blood on Carlone’s tiled floor. According to police, the victim refused to complete a statement after being treated for her injuries, which required four staples to close.

Narragansett Woman Who Let the Dogs Out Asks Police for Ride to Liquor Store, To Deal With Mother
At about 6 p.m. on April 6, police received complaints from several people on Maywood Road that a 51-year-old Narragansett woman had left her dogs out into the yard, unleashed, for the past 45 minutes.
Police said that while officers were en route to the home, dispatch received a call from the woman, who told police that her 70-year-old mother who lived in Florida was harassing her. Police noted that earlier in the day, the woman had called a patrolman looking for help in getting a ride to a liquor store.
According to police, the woman told them that her mother had called and said not to come to Florida anymore. The woman asked police to call her mother and tell her that she could go to any state she pleased.
Police said they refused to do that, and advised the woman to simply stop calling her mother or answering her calls. They also said that if she called 911 with another non-emergency, she would be arrested.
According to police, they responded to the house again at 7 p.m. Police in Paxton, MA told them that the woman had called a man 40 times and mentioned purchasing a shotgun. Police spoke to the woman, who denied purchasing a shotgun. Police told her to stop calling the man.
