North Smithfield Man Charged With Littering After Allegedly Throwing Small Baggie of Marijuana Out Window
Brian M. Annunziata, 18, of 880 Iron Mine Hill Road, North Smithfield, was cited at about 7:39 p.m. on June 15 and charged with speeding and littering.
According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road near Sunset Farm clocked a car at 65 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. While following the car to make a stop, police noted that the driver – Annunziata – threw a plastic baggie out the window near Quad’s.
Police said that during the ensuing traffic stop, Annunziata said it was stupid of him to throw the baggie out the window, and that it had about half a gram of marijuana in it. However, police could not find the baggie.
