Narragansett Police Log: May 12 and 13, 2012
Police arrest a specific Narragansett man again, and an allegedly drunk man is arrested for growling and trying to start a fight.

Unless otherwise noted, information about the following incidents was supplied by the Narragansett Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Traffic Stop Leads to Alcohol, Pot Arrests
A traffic stop on Boston Neck Road at about 10:21 p.m. on May 12 led to a pair of offenses for police.

- Gary W. Horbert, 20, of 11 Shean St., Cranston, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
- Brandon J. Carbone, 19, of 117 Norton Ave., Cranston, was cited and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor.

According to police, an officer patrolling traffic on Boston Neck Road near Bonnet Shores saw a white Lexus ZS300 with a defective brake light. A traffic stop was made at Bonnet Shears.
Police said that the driver – Carbone – appeared nervous, and the car smelled of marijuana. When asked about the smell, Carbone allegedly told police that they had smoked earlier that night, and gave police permission to search the car, including the trunk.
According to police, when they opened the trunk, they saw a 30-pack of Coors Light and a yellow shirt, which was wrapped around a clear glass jar with marijuana in it.
When questioned about the marijuana, Horbert – the passenger in the car – said it was his. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was arraigned and released at 12:03 a.m. on May 13.
Carbone was cited for the alcohol, since a background check revealed that he was only 19. The beer was confiscated and destroyed, and Carbone was allowed to drive from the scene. He was warned for the brake light.
Florida State Student Charged With Disorderly Conduct at Bar
Daniel Mark Reynolds, 21, of 1420 South Main St., Cheshire, CT, was arrested at about 12:35 a.m. on May 13 and charged with disorderly conduct.
According to police, they were at Charlie O’s for the nightly bar closing. Police said that while monitoring the parking lot, they saw Reynolds angrily confronting an employee.
Police said that Reynolds was upset about being kicked out of the bar. He approached the employee and allegedly said, “I’m 150 pounds, what do you want?” and “I’m not chest bumping you.”
According to police, a small crowd gathered around the two, and Reynolds refused to leave despite being restrained by several friends. Police noted that Reynolds began to flex his arms and growl, at which point an arrest was made.
Police said Reynolds was “escorted” to the ground and arrested. He was transported to police headquarters without incident, arraigned and released at 3:48 a.m.
Narragansett Man Arrested for Warrant (Again)
Peter O. Lindley, 20, of 29 Tupelo Trail, Narragansett, was arrested at about 3:33 p.m. on May 13. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest for failing to appear at a hearing related to a Cranston police charge of receiving stolen goods.
According to police, an officer stopped on Tupelo Trail to allow a car to back out. As the car was backing out, the officer recognized Lindley in the passenger seat from past arrests.
Police made a traffic stop on Mettatuxet Road by Juniper Trail and arrested Lindley without incident after confirming his identity. The driver was allowed to leave the scene without incident.
Police said Lindley was unable to post bail. He was transported to the ACI at 8 p.m. Lindley has been arrested several times in the past 18 months:
- On April 26, he was for a warrant violation.
- In June 2011, South Kingstown police him for possession of marijuana and possession of a knife.
- In January 2011, Narragansett police him for a fight between him and his brother over cigarettes. They noted that Lindley was facing Cranston and North Kingstown police charges at the time for stealing motor vehicle parts and obstruction.
Several of Lindley’s brothers have also been arrested multiple times by Narragansett and South Kingstown police.
Alcohol Violations
- Marco A. Martone, 20, of 212 Twin River Road, Lincoln, was cited at about 8:18 p.m. on May 12 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor.
According to police, an officer was traveling behind a white Infiniti QX4 on Galilee Escape Road. Police said at the intersection with Great Island road, the Infiniti did an illegal U-turn back on to Galilee Escape Road.
A traffic stop was made on Galilee Escape Road. Police said that during the stop, a 30-pack of Coors Light could be seen through the back windshield.
A background check confirmed that the driver – Martone – was not 21. The beer was confiscated and disposed of, and Martone was cited.
- James Jarmoszko, 20, of 265 Oakwoods Drive, South Kingstown, was cited at about 1:19 a.m. on May 13 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Jarmoszko is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road near Sunset Farm saw a black Honda Ridgeline swerving slightly. A traffic stop was made near Windemere Road.
Police said that during the stop, a bottle of vodka could be seen on the floor behind the passenger. The driver – Jarmoszko – said he was driving the truck with the permission of a friend, and didn’t know the bottle of Svedka was there. Jarmoszko was cited for transportation of alcohol by a minor.
Police said that while processing Jarmoszko, the son of the truck’s owner arrived and told them he wanted to drive it from the scene. He was given permission to do so.
