20-Year-Old and 17-Year-Old Charged With Fighting at Scarborough Beach Bus Stop
Sarah Louise Gamble, 20, of 287 Waverley St., Providence, was cited at about 7:25 p.m. on May 28 and charged with fighting. A 17-year-old Providence woman was also charged with fighting.

According to police, they received a report of fighting between two women at the RIPTA stop in front of Scarborough Beach.
Police said when they arrived, Gamble and a 17-year-old Providence girl were screaming at one another. Despite repeated attempts to quiet them, police said they refused to cooperate, and both were cited for fighting.

Man Gets Lost, Gets Arrested for 10-Year-Old Warrant
David A. Ashe, 29, of 29 Summer St., Framingham, MA, was arrested at about 2:37 a.m. on May 27. Police said a Providence police warrant was out for Ashe’s arrest for a May 2002 charge of underage alcohol possession.
According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Point Judith Road near the Westlakes Garage saw Ashe walking in the area. When asked what the problem was, Ashe told police he was looking for his rental house.
A background check on Ashe revealed the 10-year-old warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested without incident, processed and released at 4:10 a.m. after posting bail.
Second Man Gets Lost, Gets Arrested for Warrant
Justin E. Kelly, 28, of 53 Mashie Circle, Coventry, was arrested at about 6:18 p.m. on May 28. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest, related to a Warwick police charge of driving with a suspended license.
According to police, an officer at the Pier Marketplace was asked by Kelly for directions to the Coast Guard House. A background check revealed the warrant, and Kelly was arrested without incident.
Narragansett Man Cited for Expired License
Alan K. Longtin, 47, of 225 Sand Hill Cove Road, Narragansett, was cited at about 11:50 p.m. on May 28 and charged with driving with an expired license.
According to police, an officer traveling on Galilee Escape Road saw a green SUV with a defective rear plate light. A traffic stop was made at the intersection with Great Island Road.
Police said that a background check of the driver – Longtin – revealed that his license expired in August 2011. He was cited for the violation. A friend of Longtin drove his SUV from the scene.
Good Samaritan of the Day – Linda Bailey
At about 6:35 p.m. on May 28, Linda Bailey of Narragansett returned a lost wallet to police headquarters.
Police noted that the wallet belonged to a Johnston man, and had more than $300 in it, along with credit cards and other items. The man was called and told police he would come pick it up.
