Narragansett, South Kingstown Open Warming Centers Due To Cold Weekend

NARRAGANSETT-SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Frigid temperatures are in the forecast in Rhode Island, with wind chills below zero expected throughout most of Saturday.

Communities across the state, including Narragansett and South Kingstown, have designated warming centers aimed at helping residents stay warm.

The list of warming centers below was provided by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency.

Narragansett

Maury Loontjens Memorial Public Library: 35 Kingstown Road

• Monday to Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: noon to 4 p.m.

• Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.

The Neighborhood Guild: 325 Columbia St.

Peace Dale Library: 1057 Kingstown Road

• Monday and Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday and Thursday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kingston Free Library: 2605 Kingstown Road

• Monday and Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Thursday: Noon to 8 p.m.
