Nicholas Joseph Barrett, 21, of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 9, 2016.

Nicholas Joseph Barrett, 21, of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of Bruce and Linda (Tomao) Barrett.
He was a graduate of School One in Providence and a junior at the University of Rhode Island majoring in English. Nicholas was a very gifted writer who enjoyed books, screenplays and keeping meticulous records. He also loved animals, the outdoors and was an avid walker.
Besides his parents he is survived by a brother Christopher Barrett of Kingston; his uncle and family, Joseph and Ann Tomao and their daughters, Marisa and Christina Tomao of Manchester, NH. Nicholas was the grandson of the late Carmino and Tina Tomao and Robert and Velma Barrett.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday in Christ the King Church, 180 Old North Road, Kingston. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Monday 4-7 pm.
