Protect Your Pets – Rabies Clinic Sunday for Dogs, Cats and Ferrets

Narragansett Police Animal Control Officer Art Smith says you can protect your animal for just $10.

NARRAGANSETT – A rabies clinic will be held Sunday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the .

All dogs, cats and ferrets are welcome, and the cost is $10. Dogs should be on leashes, and please bring cats and ferrets in carriers.

According to Narragansett Police Animal Control Officer Art Smith, Rhode Island state law requires rabies vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets. Smith said he’s been doing the vaccinations for more than 16 years now, and typically a veterinarian and other qualified volunteers are on hand.

Smith said they usually vaccinate about 50 to 150 animals in the two hours. No appointment is necessary.
