RIDEM - Procaccianti/Paolino in Galiee and Wind Farms off Our Coast

We Need to Stop Funding Corporate Billionaires with Our Tax Dollars.

Subject: The 5 Acre Parcel in Galilee and the Proposed Wind Farms Off of Our Coast

Dear Elected Representatives, Senators, Appointed Officials, and Attorneys,

I am asking each of you to please take action against PRI X - James Procaccianti and Joseph Paolino regarding their frivolous law case against the RIDEM, the State Attorney General's Office, and the Town of Narragansett.

Find out what's happening in Narragansett-South Kingstownfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

1) The State Legislators need to tell the RIDEM they have to issue a cease-and-desist order to Procaccianti Developers, so the State or Town of Narragansett can take over the operations of the parking lots so the State and / or Town can profit from the parking lot income. To have PRIX to continue to make money by operating its street level parking lots on 2 of the 3 lots on the 5-acre parcel stinks of corruption.

2) The State needs to motion to the Courts and to Justice Brian Stern to throw out the Frivolous Lawsuit, and the Justice must order PRIX to pay for all legal fees to the RIDEM, the State, and the Town of Narragansett.

3) The State needs to order PRIX to pay for all costs associated with the demolition of the Lighthouse Inn.

4) The State needs to order PRIX to pay the RIDEM and the State a substantial fine for punitive damages caused by PRIX for intentionally creating a health, safety, and an environmental hazard to the State of Rhode Island.

I am therefore asking each of you to tell Justice Brian Stern to throw out the case. Please do not let me and so many residents down with respect to failing to do what is right for our State. James Procaccianti and Joseph Paolino have over 10 billion in real estate investments. They do not need to operate their street level parking lot in Galilee to survive. They also both need to be held accountable for the harm they created. They need to pick up all legal fees and pay for the demolition of the Lighthouse Inn. I have reached out to the Governor on numerous occasions, and he has failed to take action. I am hoping and praying that each of you will take action, so that people will not tell me it is politics as usual in Rhode Island.

If our Governor is so concerned about our environment, as he wants to put in place a massive Wind Farm, then why has he failed to take action against Procaccianti Developers who created such an environmental hazard in Galilee, RI? To add insult to injury, the Wind Farm our Governor is supporting will even cause more harm to our Beautiful State.

Governor McKee and others have supported a massive wind farm off our coast. A Wind Farm off the coast of Rhode Island, will cause great harm to our fragile maritime ecosystem, and our aquatic life. Ironically, our electrical rates will go up substantially. In addition, the life expectancy of a wind farm is only 20 years, and after that period the wind turbines will need to be replaced or the entire Wind Farm may need to be decommissioned. Wind Farms are also problematic with respect to harnessing the energy and bringing the power onto a grid for distribution. The logistics of distributing the power from the windfarms is costly and problematic. Wind Farms were scheduled to be built throughout the United States, but due to logistic issues the developers pulled out of the developments. We have Wind Farms in the United States that have already been decommissioned. When the blades need to be broken down there is enormous waste and environmental toxins are created. I would add, birds will also inevitably die. Offshore Wind Farms will be a killer for our State both literally and figuratively. We have the United States Government involved with China by engaging in billions of dollars in trade, yet China does nothing to mitigate its emissions, and many people in China wear masks due to the pollution in its air. How ironic, the State of Rhode Island that is the size of a pea in comparison to most states in the United States, and we want to put up a large Wind Farm that will ironically pollute our seas, hurt our marine life, possibly cripple our fishing industry, kill off more birds, increase our electric bills, and forever destroy our unobstructed views of seas. When we had the Blessing of the Fleet, the fishermen protested off their boats against the Wind Farm proposal. Please do whatever you can to just say NO to Wind Farms in Rhode Island. If Wind Farms were so good, why have developers of Wind Farms pulled out in many States in the United States after investing in hundreds of thousands in startup costs? The same developer, Orsted that lost 100 million
dollars by pulling out of New Jersey because of logistic issues wants to put up a massive Wind Farm in Rhode Island. Why? Our wind off our coast is no different than New Jersey? Our fish and Ocean are the same. If Orsted could not make it in New Jersey, why can they make it in RI? Please do your own research. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/11/0...

Please check out the cost of electricity in California where Wind Farms have been built. Nuclear would be a much more effective way for the State and the United States to generate electricity. I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I also have experience as Nuclear Engineering. I worked for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. I also hold a doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut, where I excelled in research. Please reach out to me if I can answer any questions on any of the content of this email.

We all can see the great cost to taxpayers from previous reckless actions by our State. The Curt Shilling Studio 38 Deal, the UHIP Fiasco, and now it appears if we do not stop James Procaccianti and Joe Paolino from their reckless legal actions in Galilee that can be tied up in the Courts, and the Wind Farm Fiasco, then we as a State will need to change our Motto from Hope to Hopeless. Sadly, the taxpayers of RI will continue to take another big hit to fund corporate billionaires if both Procaccianti and Paolino continue to stay in Galilee and the Wind Farms are planted off of our coasts. Governor McKee has been silent on the above issues. He fully supports the RIDEM and Director Terrance Gray and Director Gray's lack of action in Galilee, and our Governor supports Wind Farms even when research shows they will hurt rather than help Rhode Island. When is this insanity going to end? Is our State going to re-elect Governor McKee in the next election? Is he worthy of our vote?
