Budget time is never an easy period, and I expect you have heard this before, but I truly mean it when I say that this particular budget year will be a very difficult one. Our economy is strained, state aid is down and expenses continue to rise.

We strive, however, to continue to provide a top-notch product for our students. Your voice and presence are important to help us to be successful in getting even a modest increase in appropriation from the town. At this point, that is our goal — to be able to gain the council’s support for at least a $500,000 increase in the school budget. Please join us tonight for this important meeting.
