SK Police Log: June 18 and 19, 2012
A South Kingstown woman is charged with a DWI after hitting a bicyclist, smelling of marijuana and failing field sobriety tests.

South Kingstown Woman Charged With Driving While Intoxicated After Hitting Bicyclist
Tracy I. Lees, 25, of 100 Orchard Ave., South Kingstown, was arrested at about 6:21 p.m. on June 18 and charged with drunken driving, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

According to police, they responded to a car crash involving a bicycle on Kersey Road. Police said that the driver of the car – Lees – smelled of marijuana, and she was given field sobriety tests as a result.
Police said that Lees failed the first two portions of the field sobriety tests, at which point she refused to cooperate. She allegedly told police, “I am a really good person, I can’t believe you guys are doing this.” She also told police she would not submit to a blood test.

Lees was arrested and processed without incident. The condition of the bicyclist was unavailable.
Pawtucket Woman Cited for Expired License
Sydney G. Postle, 24, of 350 Columbus Ave., Pawtucket, was cited at about 2:08 a.m. on June 18 and charged with driving with an expired license.
According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Route 1 near the McGrath Judicial Complex saw a car with a faulty rear plate light. The officer also noted that the car was drifting between lanes without signaling.
A traffic stop was made at Arrow Head Trail. Police said a background check revealed that Postle’s license expired on March 11.
Postle was cited for driving with an expired license, swerving and driving with a defective rear plate light. She was released at 2:44 a.m. and allowed to drive her car from the scene.
Wakefield Woman Cited for Expired License
Sarah M. Dextradeur, 20, of 146 Summit Ave., Wakefield, was cited at about 1:54 a.m. on June 18 and charged with driving with an expired license.
According to police, an officer traveling behind Dextradeur’s car on Tower Hill Road noted that the registration sticker expired in April 2012. A traffic stop was made on Tower Hill Road.
A background check of Dextradeur revealed that her license also expired on April 16. She was cited for both violations, and was allowed to drive from the scene.
