South Kingstown Man Found Dead At Scarborough South State Beach

A family member of the 63-year-old man says he went for a swim Wednesday at Scarborough Beach in Narragansett and never returned.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — A man's body was found at Scarborough South State Beach in Narragansett, officials with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management said Friday.

DEM officials said they recovered the body Thursday morning after receiving a call around 6:20 a.m. from a family member who said the deceased man went for a swim on Wednesday afternoon and never returned.

State officials identified the man as William Dickey, 63, of South Kingstown.
