South Kingstown Police Holding Toy Drive Outside Ocean State Job Lot

Unwrapped toys donated to the drive will benefit the Jonnycake Center.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The South Kingstown Police Department will hold its annual holiday toy drive next week.

Police said the toy drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Ocean State Job Lot plaza in Wakefield, which is located at 688 Kingstown Road.

Unwrapped toys donated to the drive will benefit the Jonnycake Center. The Jonnycake Center for Hope's mission is "to provide basic needs, resources, and hope to our community members." The center runs the donation-based Jonnycake Market, which helps households put food on the table when they are struggling to make ends meet. Members are invited to shop at the market twice a month, or more often if necessary, and bring home a week’s worth of food for their family.
