Street Treatments Scheduled For Certain Narragansett Roads

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Beginning the third week of September, All States Material Group will apply a surface treatment to select roads in Narragansett, town officials said.

Town officials said door hanger notices will be distributed to all homes on impacted streets. The following roads will receive treatments: Indian Trail, Flint Drive, Bow Run, Arrow Drive, Riverdell Drive, Oyster Shell Terrace, Misty River Terrace, Coral Shell Terrace, Parsley Lane, Ginger Lane and Cinnamon Lane. The following dirt roads will receive double treatments: Pawnee Trail, Presque Isle Trail, Mohawk Trail (between Bonnet Point Road and Presque Isle Trail) and Algonquin Trail (between Bonnet Point Road & Ottawa Trail).

Town officials said the project will take about two weeks to complete.

All those living on the select streets must have their vehicles off the road by 7 a.m. If you need to go out during the day, town officials asked that you park on side streets. Residents will not be allowed to drive over the new surface for at least one hour after the treatment has been applied.

Once the product has been allowed to set and solidify, public works sweepers will come through and sweep up any excess, residual stone still on the road.

Shoes should be left outside until the road treatment has settled to prevent loose stone and oil from being tracked into homes.
