RHODE ISLAND — Throughout 2024, various publications released “best of” lists to help guide Rhode Island residents’ educational choices, from the best elementary schools to the best colleges and universities to pursue a degree.

Rhode Island figured prominently in several data analyses and study-driven rankings for education from U.S. News & World Report and Niche, which provides rankings on schools, neighborhoods, cities and companies in the United States.

According to U.S. News, Rhode Island boasts several of the best high schools, middle schools and elementary schools. In total, 18 Rhode Island high schools achieved a national rank. Two colleges in the Ocean State were also recognized as top 200 institutions i the United States.
