Town Of South Kingstown: 2023 Sidewalk Snow Removal - Exemption Request

As we get closer to the potential for snow, we would like to remind residents that the Town has in place an Ordinance (Chapter 16-2) requiring all property owners abutting a sidewalk to clear the sidewalk of snow, or treat it for ice, within 12 hours after the cessation of a snow/ice event. An exemption from the Ordinance is allowed for residents age 62 or older or disabled residents. More information can be found on the Public Works & Utilities website or by clicking here: Sidewalk Snow Removal. Additionally, you can call the Department of Public Services at (401) 789-9331, ext. 2250 to help facilitate the process. .
