United Water: Supply ‘Meets or Surpasses’ Standards
According to United Water's tests, the water supply for Narragansett and South Kingstown residents meets or surpasses state and federal standards.

United Water Rhode Island customers were recently mailed a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The document provides a wealth of information on the quality of their drinking water. The CCR shows that the water meets or surpasses all federal and state regulations for safe drinking water.
“We believe this report is an important tool in educating our customers about the excellent quality of their tap water,” said Stan Knox, manager.
He explained that the CCR compares how United Water’s drinking water measures up to standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Rhode Island Department of Health.

“Our team works hard to ensure that our customers receive excellent water quality and service,” Knox said. “The CCR explains where our water comes from, how we treat it, and the important steps we are taking to keep up with growing water quality regulations.”
Knox noted that tap water is a great value. Water is purified and delivered straight to customers taps for less than one penny a gallon.
