19 Arrests in Newport Last Week: Police Log

NEWPORT, RI—Newport police arrested 19 people for various crimes in the city last week, including an 18-year-old who alleged struck a man with a car and fired multiple rounds at Newport Heights.

An arrest is not a conviction.

Jeanine Marie Antone, 52, of 221 Park Holm, Newport, charged with public drinking Aug. 29 at 7:17 p.m.

Jeremy Schott, 28, of no permanent address, charged with littering Aug. 29 at 7:27 p.m.

Morgan Kelsey, 27, of 105 Church St., Newport, charged with fourth-degree domestic arson Aug. 30 at 1:30 a.m.

Thomas Joseph Cordeiro Sr., 30, of 31 East Bowery St., Newport, charged with domestic simple assault, domestic vandalism and two counts of domestic disorderly conduct Aug. 3 at 9:55 a.m.

Jose Raphael Valdes Fraticelli, 20, of 16 Jade Way, Newport, charged with driving under the influence and marijuana possession Aug. 31 at 1:59 a.m.

Rolando Edgar Jimenez Franco, 33, of 312 Broadway, charged with trespassing Aug. 31 at 8:30 p.m.

Charles Anthony Hayes, 22, of 9 Mackady Court, Westport, MA, charged with simple assault Aug. 31 at 9 p.m.

William Gonzalez, 59, of 100 Fillmore St., Providence, charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver Aug. 31 at 9:30 p.m.

Justin D. Pinheiro, 24, of 161 Beacon Ave., Jamestown, charged with a warrant Sept. 1 at 9:05 a.m.

Matthew Japikse, 22, of 61 Union St., Bristol, charged with driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test Sept. 2 at 12:59 a.m.

Jose L. Rios, 42, 5 Summer St., Newport, charged with two counts of simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic vandalism and domestic trespassing Sept. 2 at 3:15 a.m.

Nelson Jalil O. Muhammad, 18, of 17 Shimoda Way, charged with four counts of felony assault with a dangerous weapon, discharge of a firearm from a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a collision and violating a no-contact order Sept. 2 at 10:40 a.m.

William E. Meininger, 49, of 4 Farewell St., Newport, charged with disorderly conduct Sept. 2 at 6:40 p.m.

Justin Vaughn, 32, of 169 Tanner Ave., Warwick, charged with disorderly conduct Sept. 2 at 6:37 p.m.

Kelly A. Ferguson, 22, 121 W. 11th St., New York, NY, charged with simple assault Sept. 3 at 12:34 a.m.

Lydia E. Heeks, 39, of 219 Bolton St., Boston, MA, charged with attempted larceny Sept. 3 at 2:05 a.m.

Max McGregor, 25, of 1020 Milla Circle, Austin, TX, charged with disorderly conduct Sept. 3 at 2:05 a.m.
