A moped accident that occurred at First Beach Friday afternoon has left a Florida  woman driver with critical injuries, said Newport Police. She reportedly hit a sign post after losing control. A witness said she might had hit the sand, then the sidewalk and then a sign. No other vehicles were involved She has been transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
