Alleged Drunk Man Breaks Restaurant Customer's Iphone
The following arrests were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

- Jacob Mosher, 35, was arrested Tuesday around 2:45 a.m on charges of vandalism and disorderly conduct. Police said Mosher walked into Rocco’s restaurant and began talking to talking to a group of people. He was extremely intoxicated, according to witnesses. The group told police they asked Mosher to leave him alone many times. Instead, he allegedly smashed a woman's Iphone with a ball end of a rope, referred to as a “monkey’s fist.” When the owner asked him to leave, he reportedly said "I'll break your jaw and your boyfriend's too.”
- Edgar Mejia, 26, of 16 Cranston Ave., was arrested on charges of domestic simple assault on Wednesday around 3:02 a.m.
