NEWPORT, RI — The 'bomb cyclone' has blown into Rhode Island. Forecasters are increasing snow total estimates, which now top out around 14 inches for the coast and 16 near Woonsocket. The worst wind gusts were supposed to come today and tonight. But the wind howled much of the overnight.

The blizzard warning has been extended to include Narragansett and Westerly, as well as Newport.
