Boys Charged for Stealing Visors from Walmart

Police said they each stuffed a visor down their pants but a loss prevention employee was watching.

NEWPORT, RI—Two boys were charged with shoplifting on Sunday after they were caught stealing from the Walmart on Connell Highway, police said.

The two boys, age 11 and 13, were seen by a loss prevention employee as they each stuffed a visor down their pants.

Police said the boys then went into the garden center and bought sodas before walking out of the store where they were detained.

Both visors were returned to the store shelves and the boys were taken to police headquarters where they were later released to their parents.

Both cases will be adjudicated in Family Court.
