Shots Fired into House, Man Hit by Car at Newport Heights
Shots were fired into a house and a man was hit by a car in related incidents at around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

NEWPORT, RI—A man was struck by a car and shots were fired at a house at the Newport Heights Housing Development Friday in related incidents that do not pose a threat to the general public, according to police.
The call came in at around 10:32 a.m. in the area of Beech Tree and West Evans Streets.
The man who was hit by the car suffered non life-threatening injuries and nobody was hit by any rounds that were shot into the building, police said. Both incidents were related.
